Global Learning Charter Public School (GLCPS), a tuition-free public charter school that currently services 500 students in grades 5-12, is continuing its dual enrollment program with Bristol Community College offering students an opportunity to earn college credits at no cost.
GLCPS Dual Enrollment course offerings are available for students in grades 11-12. By participating in Dual Enrollment, students can prepare for post-secondary studies while enhancing their high school GPA, and making themselves more competitive in the college admission process. High School and college credit is awarded for successful completion of Dual Enrollment courses, therefore students often receive advanced academic placement when they enroll in college. This can offer students and their families’ considerable savings on the total cost of a higher education.
“The Dual Enrollment program gives out students a real opportunity to get ahead,” said Dr. Stephen Furtado, Executive Director of GLCPS. “The experience of learning at the college level and the confidence it builds in our students is truly amazing. We also applaud our students for their dedication to learning and the commitment to taking on additional challenges. Bristol Community College is a great partner and we look forward to continuing our programs together.”
