Rockland, MA: Ray Belanger, CEO of Bay Copy, recently spent several days at a national conference hosted by the Select Dealer Group at Pebble Beach, CA, attended by owners and executives in the document management industry from across the United States.
Mr. Belanger is one of the founders and is a former Board Member and President of the Select Dealer Group. The group, which operates under the umbrella of the Business Technology Association, includes members from across the United States and several countries, who meet three times a year to share industry best practices among industry peers.
The group of nearly 50 individuals met and discussed topics pertaining to their industry including electronic content management and document retention systems, company culture, compensation plans for attracting and retaining talent, strategies for maintaining profitability in the face of rising costs, and billing practices.
“I’ve always found the SDG to provide great value,” Belanger said, adding, “We’ve all come through a very challenging two years and we’re all looking at how to make our businesses the best they can be while coping with the challenges of COVID and inflation. It’s helpful to share best practices with our dealers from across the country, and the conventions always have great presentations and there’s the opportunity to network with our fellow dealers.”
