Christ Academy’s UMANG 2026 Brings Bengaluru Together for a Cause

Bengaluru : Christ Academy Institute of Advanced Studies (CAIAS) will host UMANG 2026 Rangilo Chowk on 16th October 2026, bringing together culture, dance, music and community spirit in support of a meaningful cause. The profits generated from the event will go towards the medical treatment of Lakshmi Bohra, an 18-year-old from Kathmandu, Nepal, who has been living with arthritis since early childhood.

Lakshmi’s condition, which began when she was just two or three years old, has progressively affected both her legs. Doctors have recommended three operations, of which one has already been completed. Through UMANG, CAIAS aims to contribute towards her ongoing treatment and encourage collective support for her medical journey.

Inspired by the colours and traditions of Indian folk culture, Rangilo Chowk will feature a dance competition, a flea market, and an evening of Dandiya and DJ celebrations. The dance competition will award Rs 15,000 to the first-place winner and Rs 10,000 to the second-place winner. The institution is also inviting businesses and entrepreneurs to participate through sponsorships and stalls.

More than a cultural festival, UMANG 2026 reflects CAIAS’s commitment to bringing people together for a larger social purpose. By welcoming students, families, local residents and businesses, the event seeks to demonstrate how community participation and celebration can contribute to meaningful change.

UMANG 2026 – Rangilo Chowk will be held on October 16, 2026, at Christ Academy Institute of Advanced Studies, Bengaluru. This year, the festival invites the community to come together not only to celebrate culture and creativity, but also to make a difference in the life of someone who needs support.
