New Delhi : ControlZ, a one-of-its-kind start-up in the pre-owned segment offering as good as new smartphones, is set to augment the potential of renewed smartphones across the country, and has today revealed its key proposition of providing a renewed display on its smartphones. The company, with a vision to make pre-owned smartphones aspirational, ensures every display is 100% scratch-less and qualifies for 200 points for full functional testing.

ControlZ’s renewal process is unique in nature as it focuses on minimising the need to replace the display/screen due to its extensive technological framework installed in its state-of-the-art Renew hub. The requirement for mining minerals foresees a huge spike in the upcoming years for various reasons, including the tendency in the repair and the OEM industry wherein damaged screens are replaced with new ones. However, 80% of the devices renewed by ControlZ make use of the renewed display.

These renewed smartphones consist of the displays of preowned devices that undergo several procedures, like sanding, which produces a smooth surface and a scratch-free display even without the need to replace the display.

Commenting on the same, Yug Bhatia, Founder & CEO, ControlZ says, “We are committed to providing our customers not only a just like new phone but a wholesome shopping experience, where a customer experiences purchasing a brand-new device. We, as a smartphone renewal specialist, are on a mission to maximise the life-cycle of a smartphone like never before, therefore going through a journey of bringing world-class innovation and advancements in the entire renewal process at Control-Z. “

At present, ControlZ renews Apple iPhone and Oneplus devices. The company so far has renewed 40,000 units of pre-owned devices and aims to renew another 60,000 units by the end of FY 2022. The company, by renewing these pre-owned devices, has reduced the carbon footprint by approximately 1.5 million units and is further attempting to educate individuals about the increasing need to restrict consumption for the trend.
