Filmmaker Nikhil Dwivedi Pays Tribute to Nana Patekar, Shares a Personal Memory

Actor-turned-filmmaker Nikhil Dwivedi took to social media to pay tribute to veteran actor Nana Patekar. Sharing a picture of the late actor, Nikhil remembered his first meeting with Nana and recalled a simple yet memorable gesture from their 2007 interaction.

Sharing the post, Nikhil wrote about Nana’s distinct personality and his contribution to cinema. He also recalled how Nana had placed his hand on his head and told him, “Sab Ho Jayega,” a moment that stayed with him over the years.

Along with the post, Nikhil captioned it: “Nana Patekar was both unique and distinct. A very special actor. A very emphatic ‘Voice’. And I am not talking about his voice on screen. It’s what he spoke outside of his Cinema that made him different. I met him on a few occasions but I remember the first time particularly, it was back in 2007… I was barely introduced to him, he took one long look at me and then he put his hand on my head and said ‘Sab Ho Jayega’… I don’t even know why he said that or maybe I looked very distraught to him :)… But somehow it boosted me up. Kindness coming out of nowhere can do that to you sometimes… lift you up and just make you believe!!

Thank you Nana Patekar… for your uniqueness. On & Off Screen. As for your Body of Work… what can one possibly say… there will never be another like you!”

The post has since drawn attention as Nikhil remembered the veteran actor through a personal memory and paid tribute to his lasting contribution to Indian cinema.
