Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plymouth to Celebrate 25th Anniversary at Hearts & Hammers Gala

The Pinehills Affordable Housing Charitable Trust and North Easton Savings Bank are  Top Sponsors

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plymouth (HFHGP) is pleased to announce that ticket sales are open for their Hearts & Hammers Gala, taking place on Friday, October 7, at Hotel 1620 in Plymouth.  Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit HFHGP’s work in building and repairing affordable housing for low-income families in their service area of Plymouth, Kingston, Carver, Plympton, Middleboro and Lakeville.

Normally an annual tradition, the event was last held in 2019, prior to the impact of the pandemic.  This year also marks the 25th Anniversary for the organization as an official affiliate of Habitat for Humanity.  Attendees will enjoy dinner, dancing, live music by the Natural Born Fools, silent and live auctions, raffles, and special guest remarks to commemorate the occasion.  Tickets are limited and are sold first-come, first-served at https://givebutter.com/hfhgala.   The cost is $75 each if purchased by Sept. 9th; and $100 each after that date.  Tables of eight may also be purchased.

In the tradition of Habitat, construction labor for their affordable home builds is provided by volunteers and the soon-to-be homeowners who regularly work alongside to build their own homes.  Jim Middleton, executive director of HFHGP, said “We are really excited to bring our community of supporters together again and expect it to be an extra special celebration with our 25th year milestone in the spotlight.  We continue to make lasting, transformative impact for local families in need and we encourage anyone to join us on October 7th in support of affordable housing for our region. ”

The Pinehills Affordable Housing Charitable Trust is the lead Capstone Partner sponsor for the Gala, North Easton Savings Bank is the Foundation Builder sponsor, and Dennison Lubricants is a Team Partner. The Gala is also sponsored in part by several local businesses.
