INTUC Central Women Workers Committee to Launch Inaugural Souvenir Celebrating Women’s Leadership, Labour Rights & Empowerment

New Delhi : The INTUC Central Women Workers Committee, under the leadership of Chairperson Devika Singh, will officially launch its inaugural Souvenir on 10th May 2026 at 4:00 PM at Shramik Kendra, 4 Bhai Veer Singh Marg, New Delhi.

The Souvenir stands as a significant milestone for the committee, capturing the collective journey, struggles, achievements, and aspirations of women workers and trade union activists across the country. The publication highlights the importance of women’s participation in labour movements, leadership, workplace dignity, and economic empowerment.

Addressing the occasion, Devika Singh, Chairperson of the INTUC Central Women Workers Committee, shared:

“This publication is far more than a collection of records; it is a living testament to our collective journey — a reflection of the struggles we have endured, the milestones we have achieved, and the bold aspirations we hold for the future. Women workers have long been the backbone of our society and economy, yet their contributions are too often unrecognized and undervalued.”

Over the past eighteen months, the committee has focused on building a strong and inclusive foundation by forming a diverse leadership network comprising women from different states, professions, and generations. The committee has actively organized awareness programs, workshops, rallies, and labour rights initiatives to strengthen women’s participation and representation.

The Chairperson further emphasized her vision of creating stronger representation for women in executive decision-making bodies and fostering financial independence through dedicated union structures and sustainable support systems for women workers.
