Procter & Gamble contributes INR 5 crore towards vaccination of citizens in Telangana

Hyderabad: Procter & Gamble today announced that the company has contributed INR 5 Cr to the state authorities towards vaccination of citizens in Telangana. This donation is in line with P&G’s pledge to contribute towards 10 lakh vaccines doses in the country. Under its #PGSurakshaIndia program, P&G will also continue to extend its support to the broader community in Telangana through donation of products, in-house manufactured masks and sanitizers especially to aid frontline and essential workers who are tirelessly working to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, through its #PGSurakshaIndia program, P&G has stepped up to support the health, safety, and wellbeing of its employees, its consumers and the communities. In Telangana, P&G has distributed more than 3.5 Lakh sanitary pads to women and adolescent girls in shelter homes and child care institutions in partnership with government, distributed more than 1 Lakh diapers, donated more than 1 Lakh masks and sanitizers. P&G also partnered with the government and industries to kickstart an initiative called ‘Suraksha Circles’ to lay down the highest standards of hygiene and safety at manufacturing facilities in Telangana.
