New Delhi : Sanju Samson steps up for gender equality. The cricketer lends his voice to UNFPA India’s work to raise awareness on why it matters, calling it a cause he refuses to compromise on.
“Everyone deserves an equal chance to dream big and be treated with respect, whether in a classroom, at a workplace or on a cricket field. I want to use my platform to increase awareness on gender equality, because for me, it is non-negotiable. If my voice helps even one family see gender equality a little differently, that means a lot to me,” says Sanju Samson.
Known for playing on the front foot, Sanju brings the same intent to this cause. His fans number in the millions and skew young, so his message travels well beyond the boundary. His stand is also a strong example of male allyship and positive masculinity, showing boys and men, that backing equality is a sign of strength. His support adds a widely loved voice to UNFPA India’s mission of building a more equal India, where everyone has a fair chance to learn, stay healthy and make their own choices.
