Savings Bank of Danbury’s Farley Santos Recognized as a “40 Under 40” Business Leader by Fairfield County Business Journal

The Savings Bank of Danbury’s Farley Santos has been named a “40 under 40” business leader by the Fairfield County Business Journal.

The award goes to individuals who are over 25 and under 40 years and who is a dynamic industry leader, part of the county’s business growth and lives or works in Fairfield County.

Santos has been recognized for his business achievements at the Savings Bank of Danbury with eight promotions during his thirteen year career. He has received the following Professional Honors from the Bank: 2016 & 2019 Extraordinary Banker Award Recipient; 2017 & 2018 People Serving People Award Recipient; 2015 Top Infinex Referrer Recipient; 2009 & 2013 Employee Recognition Winner Recipient; 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, & 2012 Top Teller Referrer Award Recipient; and multiple customer letters of appreciation. He has been honored by the Junior Achievement of Greater Fairfield County in 2016 with the Outstanding Company Coordinator Award. In 2014, 2015 and 2016 he received the top Fundraiser Award and in 2012 the Outstanding Company Coordinator Award.  In 2013 he received the Bravo Award for Teamwork Recipient and the Bravo Award for Financial Responsibility from the Cartus Corporation.

 Santos has been elected 4th Ward City Councilman, City of Danbury from 2019 to present and an elected Member, Danbury Board of Education from 2017 to 2019. He has been a Connecticut Justice of the Peace since 2020, a 4th Ward Captain, Danbury Democratic Town Committee since 2016 and the President of the Danbury Police Activities League Board since 2020. He has been a Confirmation Class Instructor at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish since 2018 and was Treasurer, Former Secretary, Finance Committee Chairman, Executive Committee Member, & Governance Committee Member for the Danbury Students and Business Collaborative from 2014 to 2021. He was a Community Board Member, Volunteer Teacher, and Company Coordinator for Junior Achievement of Greater Fairfield County from 2012 to 2019 and a Personal Finance Class Instructor at Western Connecticut State University from 2017 & 2018. He was a Personal Finance Class Instructor at the Danbury Public Schools from 2017 to 2020 and has served as a volunteer for the Connecticut Food Bank Mobile Pantry, the Danbury Public Schools Invention Convention, the New Fairfield Home & Garden Tour, the Danbury Student and Business Connection and the Junior Achievement of Fairfield County Bowl-A-Thon
