Hyderabad: Government Dental College and Hospital, Hyderabad and the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics has celebrated the National Cons-Endo Day on 5th March 2022. The event was celebrated to mark the significance of maintaining good oral environment for a healthy and sound body.
On this occasion the department has conducted various patient awareness programs such as audio-visual education program, games and distributed 632 patient education material comprising of information leaflet in Telugu, English, Hindi and Urdu. Oral health care kits comprising of Mouth wash, tooth paste and brush, the kit also contained Covid essentials- mouth mask and sanitizer.It was received by the patients and they were positive and promised to maintain the oral hygiene.
Competitions were conducted for postgraduateand undergraduate students. This competition benefited both the patients and the students. Various competitions such as patient awareness videos (III-BDS students- 88 students participated), Clinical Esthetic Acumen (IV-BDS students- 90 students), e-posters on patient education was prepared by junior residents and interns. The Senior residents and postgraduate students did a clinical activity namely clinical acumen in endodontic management under dental operating microscope. All the winners in all categories were awarded recognition certificates and trophies.
The program was conducted by Dr. Sarjeev Singh Yadav, Prof & HOD, department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics& the team of the department contributed in making the event grand. This program was also attended by Dr. P. Aruna Principal, GDC&H, Hyd, Dr. S. Jagadeswar Rao, RMO and all the other teaching staff and students.
