Chennai : Karur Vysya Bank (KVB), one of India’s leading private sector banks, has expanded its presence across key markets by inaugurating 16 new branches, further deepening its footprint across southern India and Delhi NCR. With the latest expansion, the Bank’s branch network stands at 919 across the country.
The new branches include six in Tamil Nadu, five in Andhra Pradesh, three in Telangana and one each in Karnataka and Delhi NCR.
Marking a significant milestone in the Bank’s expansion journey, KVB is opening branches across multiple markets on a single day. Shri Ramesh Babu, Managing Director & CEO of Karur Vysya Bank, led the milestone expansion by inaugurating the new Gachibowli branch in Hyderabad and opening the remaining branches virtually via video conference.
The expansion is part of KVB’s strategy to deepen its presence across metropolitan, urban, semi-urban and rural markets. The new branches will cater to retail customers as well as MSMEs and agricultural businesses, while complementing the Bank’s growing digital banking network.
New Branch Details and Inaugurations in Tamil Nadu:
• Chennai – Thirumangalam (916th branch): Located at No. 50/4 & 50/5, Soundarya Colony 7th Avenue, Anna Nagar West Extension, Thirumangalam, Chennai (Chennai District). The branch was inaugurated by Chief Guest Tmt. K. Sasikala, Director, Directorate of Government Examinations (Chennai), along with Dr. V. Ruckmani, Physician and Diabetologist (Thirumangalam, Chennai), who lit the traditional Gayathri Lamp.
• Erode – Chithode (912th branch): Located at D. No. 2/13, MRM Plaza, Near BSNL Office, Perundurai Road, Chithode, Erode (Erode District). The branch was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri C. Devarajan, Managing Director of URC Construction (P) Ltd and Chairman of CII – Tamil Nadu State Council.
• Sivaganga (910th branch): Located at No. 238/270, Gandhi Road, Sivaganga (Sivaganga District). The branch was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri P. Akash, I.A.S., District Collector (Sivaganga), alongside Shri M. Ragavan, Deputy Commissioner (State Tax, Sivaganga) who inaugurated the ATM, and Dr. R. M. Nafeesha Bhanu, Block Medical Officer (Govt. Upgraded PHC, Piranmalai), who lit the Gayathri Lamp.
• Salem – Ammapet (913th branch): Located at Gandhi Maidhanam, D.No. 452 (Old No. 449), TVK Road, Ammapet, Salem (Salem District). The branch was inaugurated by Chief Guest Smt. R. Keerthy Priyadharshini, District Revenue Officer / Managing Director of SAGOSERVE (Salem), along with Dr. Vijayarani Rajendran of Rajammal Hospital (Ammapet, Salem), who lit the Gayathri Lamp.
• Salem – Jagir Ammapalayam (914th branch): Located at D.No. 5/74, P.G. Nagar, Jagir Ammapalayam, Salem (Salem District). The branch was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri Lalitaditya Neelam, I.A.S., Commissioner, Municipal Corporation (Salem), alongside Shri R. Ravikumar, District Revenue Officer and Additional District Magistrate (Salem) who inaugurated the ATM, and Smt. G. Malathi, Management Co-ordinator of Kamala College of Nursing (Salem), who lit the Gayathri Lamp.
• Kancheepuram – Sevilimedu (911th branch): Located at Plot No. 1 & 2, Survey No. 582/8A1, Kancheepuram – Vandavasi Main Road, Sevilimedu, Kancheepuram (Kancheepuram District). The branch was inaugurated by Chief Guest Smt. K. Sujatha, Head – Treasury, Treasury Department (Kancheepuram), alongside Shri N. Sankar, President of Kancheepuram Rice Mill Owners Association who inaugurated the ATM, and Dr. J. Mary Stella, Principal & Director of B.A.V. International Senior Sec. School (Kancheepuram), who lit the Gayathri Lamp.

The expansion comes on the back of continued growth in the Bank’s business. As of June 30, 2026, KVB’s total business stood at ₹2,27,267 crore, comprising deposits of ₹1,22,587 crore and advances of ₹1,04,680 crore. The Bank reported its highest-ever quarterly net profit of ₹756 crore in Q1FY27.
Alongside its branch network, KVB continues to strengthen its digital banking offerings. Its mobile banking application, KVB DLite, offers more than 150 financial and non-financial services, giving customers access to a wide range of banking services through their mobile phones.
