“dubdub” raises $1.3M seed round led by 3one4 Capital, Antler and Stellaris Venture Partners

New Delhi : dubdub, a swipe-based trivia and puzzle app, has raised $1.3 million in an equity seed round led by 3one4 Capital, Antler and Stellaris Venture Partners. The startup will use the funds to hire across product and engineering, add new interactive formats and deepen the personalisation of its feed.

Launched in March 2026, dubdub has already crossed 20,000 downloads. The company reports early retention above the top percentile of casual games.

The app replaces the passive content feed with questions and mini games. Each swipe asks users to answer, guess, solve, recognise, predict or compete. Content spans more than 20+ categories, including cricket, Bollywood, pop culture, general knowledge, mythology and logical reasoning. The platform uses AI and user interactions to tailor challenges to individual interests, alongside features that let users challenge friends, compare scores and add a social layer to the experience.

Mr Kaustubh Priye, CEO and Co-founder of dubdub, said “We started dubdub with a simple belief: people don’t just want to consume content, they want to test themselves, discover what they are good at and have fun along the way. Every swipe should give you a reason to participate, whether you are answering a question, recognising a song, solving a puzzle or challenging a friend. Having built and sold a company before, we know retention is the clearest signal that a product is working, and our early numbers tell us users are finding real value in dubdub. This funding lets us bring in strong talent, keep experimenting and build something people return to because it is genuinely enjoyable, not simply because it is in their feed.”

dubdub is the second company that Kaustubh Priye (CEO) and Supan Shah (CPTO) have built together. Their previous venture, Aldun, built technology to simplify hospital insurance processing and patient discharge. Aldun worked with major hospital groups including Apollo, Aster, Fortis, Manipal and Narayana, and was acquired by Care.Fi. Together, the founders bring over 30 years of experience building technology products at companies including Flipkart, Udaan and OnMobile.

Mr. Akshay Sharma, Principal, 3one4 Capital, said, “Consumer habits around content are being rewritten. People increasingly want quick, bite-sized experiences that ask for little commitment yet still hold their attention, and the products built for this will look very different from today’s incumbents. AI has reset the economics of the category. Content can now be created, tested and personalised in days rather than months, at a fraction of the cost. What stood out to us about Kaustubh and Supan is that they are not taking an existing format and trying to make it marginally better. They have started from first principles, asking what makes a moment of content genuinely worth someone’s time and how to build a product that learns the answer for every individual user. We are delighted to partner with them from the very beginning of this journey.”

Mr Rajiv Srivatsa, Founding Partner, Antler added “We believe the next shift in consumer media will be from passive scrolling to active participation. Across the mobile attention economy,

users increasingly engage in short, frequent moments where they want to guess, solve, predict and interact, not just consume. More than 80% of internet users aged 16 to 44 also play video games on some device, and engagement rises to 87% among Gen Z (ages 13-24). AI has now reached the point where this kind of personalised, interactive content can be produced at the quality and cost needed to scale.

dubdub is building for that shift. Kaustubh and Supan bring exceptional clarity, ambition and deep experience across recommendation systems, personalisation, gamification and content technology. We’re excited by their vision to create an interactive short-form media experience that turns the feed into something users participate in, not just scroll through.”

dubdub plans to expand its product and engineering teams and introduce new interactive formats as it works towards a broader interactive short-form entertainment platform.
