Actresses reveal their love for jewellery

Jewellery is significant in women’s lives, making them feel unique, fashionable, and stunning. Beautiful jewellery is an essential component that completes a woman’s overall appearance. &TV’s leading female artists, Neha Joshi (Yashoda, Doosri Maa), Kamna Pathak (Rajesh Singh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Vidisha Srivastava (Anita Bhabi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai), spill the beans on their passion for all things jewellery! Neha Joshi, aka Yashoda from Doosri Maa, shares, “Fashion is always transforming and evolving, but one thing that has remained a constant for me is my love for silver. It’s my go-to accessory that adds pizzazz to any outfit, especially my beloved cotton sarees. While others swear by diamonds and gold, silver is my trusty sidekick. My mother wanted to take me gold when I was getting married, but I opted for silver instead. I even convinced her to gift me any small gold piece she wanted to give in the future. Whenever I wear traditional or modern attire, I spice it up with a splash of silver from my extensive collection of bangles, earrings, rings, necklaces, bracelets, and more (I may or may not have a silver addiction). So, if you ever see me shimmering in the sunlight, you’ll know why! (laughs). My style statement is wearing one jwellery at a time which makes me look more elegant and I avoid overdoing it.”

Kamna Pathak, aka Rajesh from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, When it comes to jewellery, earrings are my favourite! The right pair of earrings can do wonders for my entire look. After all, they’re the first thing anyone sees when they talk to us, so they should be elegant and eye-catching. I’m all about aesthetics, so I gravitate towards delicate, intricately designed jewellery that exudes simplicity and grace. For me, it’s not just about the design but also the quality of craftsmanship. I firmly believe any jewellery I choose should be well-made and artfully crafted. And if it can be customized to reflect my personality, all the better! I love experimenting with wearing a brooch as a neckpiece or stacking up bracelets with any saree I wear. In a nutshell, I believe that jewellery should look beautiful, enhance our style, and express our unique personality.” Vidisha Srivastava, aka Anita Bhabi, from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “There is a saying which goes, “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend,” but let’s face it – when it comes to jewellery, there’s no one-size-fits-all. Whether it’s gold, silver, diamonds, or pearls, it’s all about the art of mixing and matching. A pair of earrings or a delicate necklace can take a plain outfit to the next level. While a diamond necklace is a classic choice, my go-to is a diamond choker. It perfectly complements my swan-like neck and adds colour to any outfit. From chandbalis to long-shoulder dusters, I’m obsessed with all types of earrings. When it comes to choosing the right necklace, it’s all about finding one that complements your neckline. And, if you’re looking to add some desi flair to your ensemble, you can never go wrong with jhumkas. My fixation with earrings has led me to collect unique pieces from my travels around India. Kundan is one of my favourite styles – I can’t get enough of the intricate designs and the sweet sound of the small ghungaroos that often adorn them. Jewellery is about personal style and finding pieces that speak to you. Diamonds may be a girl’s best friend, but when it comes to accessorizing, anything goes as long as it makes you feel fabulous!”
