- This new plant comes on the heels of the recent USD 132 million funding led by Reliance in Series B round, as well as the global expansion of the company in USA, Singapore, Europe, and Australia markets.
- The factory will be ten times bigger than Bot-Valley, Addverb’s existing manufacturing facility located in Noida.
- Addverb plans to deliver innovative automation solutions made in India, for the world, turning India into the capital of global robotics industry.
Addverb Technologies, a leading robotics company headquartered in India, is setting up a new manufacturing facility in Noida, after having received $132 million funding from Reliance Industries. This new factory will position the company as the largest manufacturer of robots in the world and will provide capacity for new growth opportunities. With this facility, Addverb aims to disrupt manufacturing technology in India through highly innovative manufacturing practices wherein robots and co-bots will collaborate with humans to deliver the robots of tomorrow.
Spread over 60,000 sq. mtr., the new plant will create highly skilled job opportunities and lead to direct and indirect employment for over 3,000 people. This facility will be able to manufacture up to 60,000 robots per year of different specifications and categories namely Autonomous Mobile Robot (Dynamo), Sorting Robot (Zippy), Multi-Carton Picking Mobile Robot (Veloce), Carton Shuttle (Quadron), Pallet Shuttle (Cruiser), Stacker Crane and Mother Child ASRS (Multi-Pro) system. The factory will be designed in a highly flexible way where the manufacturing capacity can be scaled up to 10 times in order to manufacture only a particular type of robot. This will complement Bot-Valley, Addverb’s existing assembly manufacturing facility based out of Noida.
Equipped with the latest technologies and machineries, the establishment of this plant will strengthen the overall robotics ecosystem of the country and will turn Addverb into a key player of the robotics industry globally. Mr. Sangeet Kumar, Founder and CEO, Addverb Technologies, said, “This brand-new facility will make Addverb a giant robot manufacturer on global fronts, by delivering cutting edge software and robust hardware systems, along with a mix of innovative fixed and flexible automation solutions.”
The capacity expansion move has been driven by an increase in demand for automation across the globe in multiple sectors. In the post Covid era, companies are opting for factory and warehouse automation to meet the changing demand patterns and create more reliability and flexibility. According to a recent study the global warehouse robotics market size is expected to grow from $4.7 billion in 2021 to $9.1 billion by 2026.
Addverb has provided warehouse automation solutions to different customers across FMCG, Grocery, Apparel, Petrochemicals, Pharma, Automotive etc. Including the likes of Unilever, Reliance, Flipkart, Amazon, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Marico, Dabur, ITC, Patanjali etc.
