Affordable Housing and Services Collaborative, Inc. Announces Yaritza Soto as Administrative Assistant

BRAINTREE and RANDOLPH, MA…Affordable Housing and Services Collaborative, Inc. (AHSC; www.ahscinc.org), a nonprofit organization that owns and develops affordable rental communities, is pleased to announce Yaritza Soto as an Administrative Assistant.

Her responsibilities in this role are many, including processing and tracking invoices and check requests, organizing and maintaining electronic and paper files, updating social media content, follow-up on housing assistance requests, transcribing committee meeting minutes, and registering and maintaining subsidiary entities in state and federal online databases.

Prior to joining AHSC, Soto was a Branch Operations Manager with Santander Bank.

Originally from Puerto Rico, Soto and her husband moved to Massachusetts in 2005 “looking for a better future” for their children. The language barrier was challenging but overcoming that obstacle gave Soto “the strength to never give up and continue to pursue my goals.” In a successful effort to improve her English-speaking skills, she attended the Urban College of Boston, taking courses in early education.

The Soto family lived in an affordable housing community in Boston for their first seven years in the state, grateful “to have access to a place we could call home.”

Eleven years ago, the couple became proud homeowners in Randolph, where they live with their son and daughter.

“I am happy to be part of an organization that promotes and is focused on affordable housing,” said Soto. “I know first-hand the value of having access to affordable or low-income housing.”
