Subscribers of Tata Play (erstwhile Tata Sky) can now enjoy their favourite films and series on Netflix. Here’s all you need to know to get started:
What’s new?
Tata Play DTH subscribers now have access to Netflix through 90 amazing bundles, which will include linear channels and Binge combo packs. With the Tata Play Netflix Combo packs, simply choose from Netflix’s Basic, Standard and Premium plans to access the diverse Netflix library, including series, films, and documentaries from India and around the world such as Money Heist, Squid Game, Stranger Things, Minnal Murali, Dhamaka, Aranyak, and Red Notice. The subscribers will also be able to seamlessly and hassle-free bill this through Tata Play’s wallet.
All users subscribing to the Netflix combo packs will be able enjoy Netflix on their TV through the Tata Play Binge+ Smart set top box which provides direct access to Netflix via the home screen and the remote. Users can also access Netflix on any device of their choice, including Smart TVs, streaming devices, smartphones, PCs etc. The irresistible Netflix Combo packs have been thoughtfully curated to include the best of entertainment from streaming as well as national and regional linear TV channels.
How this works? Here’s the step by step guide to unlock a world of entertainment
If you are an existing Tata Play Subscriber:
- Click on the Netflix banner or notifications on the app or web. Alternatively, click on the ‘Manage Pack’ shortcut on the website/app
- Select ‘Modify your Current Pack’ and go to the ‘Binge Combos’ tab
- Select Netflix in the ‘Apps’ filter. For your language and genre preferences you could also select the relevant options from the filters at the top of the screen.
- Select the Netflix combo that best suits you. Simply click on ‘View Details’ on the top right to get more details about the included TV channels and about the Netflix plan.
- Once you have successfully subscribed, you’ll see the screen that says ‘Payment Successful’
- To activate your Netflix account as part of the Tata Play Netflix Combos, follow the activation link received on your registered mobile no. or from the home screen of your Tata Play Mobile App
- That’s it, you are ready to enjoy all your favourites on Netflix!
If you are not yet a Tata Play Subscriber:
- Visit tataplay.com and click on ‘Not a Tata Play customer’
- Select Get New Connection and enter your details
- Select your preferred set top box [Our recommendation is the Tata Play Binge+ Set Top Box that allows you to watch content from streaming services, including Netflix and Live TV channels all on your TV!]
- Answer a simple set of questions about your viewing preferences and select ‘Yes’ to if you wish to watch OTT content
- Select the Netflix Combo pack of your choice from the available set of recommended packs
- Confirm your order details and complete payment, and voila, you are good to go!
