Andrea Benoit Joins Road to Responsibility Board of Directors

Road to Responsibility one of the region’s largest and most successful nonprofit organizations supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, announced today that Andrea L. Benoit of Braintree has been named to the organization’s board of directors.

Benoit serves as Counsel, Eastern Regional Command Defense Contract Management Agency, a Department of Defense agency that provides essential contract administration services for the Department of Defense, other federal organizations, and international partners.  As the East Region Counsel, she bears overall responsibility for the delivery of federal contract administration, ethics, and labor and employment legal services to clients throughout the region.

Over her 27-year federal career, Benoit has served in several different legal positions with DCMA, as well as with the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Systems Center, in Natick, Massachusetts.

Benoit is a native of Rhode Island, and received her Bachelor of Arts from Boston College, where she was an Honors Program graduate with a communications major and women’s studies minor. She received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Suffolk University School of Law, where she was editor-in-chief of the law school newspaper, Dicta.

Benoit is admitted to practice in both Massachusetts and Maine, as well as before the U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts, and the United States Supreme Court. She is a certified mediator in Workplace Disputes and a Massachusetts Notary Public.

Benoit and her husband, Michael Parsons, are active supporters of Road to Responsibility and reside in Braintree, Massachusetts, with their blended family:  Harold, Abigail, Luigi, Lucien, Serafina, and CoCo, the Bouvier des Flandres.
