Mumbai: Two students from Billabong High International School Malad, Anjali Mehta of Grade 10 and Rudhraksh Jaiswal of AS Level have been conferred with the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards. Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards are a group of awards issued by Cambridge Assessment International Education. They recognise exceptional learner achievement in Cambridge examinations around the world. The primary purpose of these awards is to celebrate and recognise the success of high-performing Cambridge learners. Rudhraksh and Anjali have secured the top ranks across the country in Environmental Management and Global Perspectives subjects respectively.
Delighted over students’ achievement, Dr. Madhu Singh, Principal, BHIS Malad said, “We are extremely pleased that our students have won the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award this year. This achievement is a living result of perseverance, hard work, and continuous effort by these learners and teachers in which the constant support of the parents of these students cannot be forgotten. I feel thrilled that out of 150 students, 2 of our school students have raised their flag in the Cambridge Examinations. I wish them all the best for their future and hope they would bring more such laurels to the school”, she said.
One of the receivers of this award Rudhraksh Jaiswal, who had shared the screen space with Chris Hemsworth aka Thor last year in a critically acclaimed web series, Extraction, said, “I am very happy to receive this award from Cambridge Assessment International Education. Environmental Management is very important means for humans to protect the environment by monitoring the environment and its various components. We can evaluate the impact of human activities on the environment through environmental management. It helps us to control and limit the damage caused to the environment due to such activities. I believe that environmental management can become a relative means of making the earth a better place to live in”, he added.
