New Delhi : Chief Minister of Sikkim Prem Singh Tamang returned to Sikkim after his two-day visit to Patna, Bihar. He was in Bihar to attend the official launch of three books released by Governor of Sikkim, Ganga Prasad in Patna on Sunday.
He also visited and inspected the Sikkim Temple House at Bodhgaya on Saturday where he directed the concerned officials to draft renovation plans for the entire complex which can be used by the Sikkimese pilgrims and devotees visiting Bodh Gaya.
The CM offered his prayers for the welfare of Sikkim and sought blessings on behalf of the Sikkimese people at the holy Mahabodhi (Mahavihara) temple.
At the meeting with the Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries on Saturday CM Tamang spoke about the formation of Industrial policy by the state government and invited investors from Bihar to explore investment opportunities in Sikkim and assured possible support from the state government.
On Sunday three books, namely ‘Smriti Sakshya’, ‘Gangarpan’ and ‘Mere 75 Sansakaran’ authored by Governor of Sikkim Ganga Prasad were officially launched at Bapu Sabhagar in Patna.
BJP National President J P Nadda, Governor of Bihar Phagu Chauhan, Bihar Cabinet and the team from Sikkim headed by the Governor and the Chief Minister were present on this occasion. During his speech Chief Minister Tamang said that the friendly relation between Bihar and Sikkim states is very admirable and great steps should be taken to strengthen this relationship. While describing Governor Ganga Prasad as an ideal guardian, the CM said that Sikkim is on the path of progress under his guidance.
The Chief Minister during his Bihar tour was accompanied by Ministers M.N Sherpa, Arun Upreti, Sonam Lama and officials from the state government.
