Cuemath launches ‘Mathfit’ to empower students overcome ‘Math Phobia’ during board examination

A first-of-its-kind handbook will encourage students to manage their ‘Math Phobia’ and build confidence to approach maths board examination

Bangalore : Ahead of class 10th ICSE and CBSE maths board exams, Cuemath, a global math learning platform, has launched ‘Mathfit’, a digital handbook that aims to empower students to ace maths exams by overcoming their ‘Math Phobia.’ This ‘first-of-its-kind’ initiative is designed in tandem with Cuemath’s mission to make every child fall in love with maths by teaching the subject as a life skill beyond achieving academic excellence.

In addition to helping students overcome ‘Math Phobia’, ‘MathFit’ also shares simple and effective learning strategies to help students manage maths exam priorities efficiently. From relaxation methods to stress management and concentration techniques, this handbook provides information on a host of topics, critical for students during the maths board exam.

Parents play an important role in their child’s learning journey. Aligning with this, the handbook also carries an advisory on how parents can help their children feel more confident about their learning and preparation while motivating them for their maths examination.

Commenting on the initiative, Vivek Sunder, CEO, Cuemath said ”At Cuemath, students are at the core of everything that we do. We firmly believe that no child should struggle with maths anxiety or fear of maths. According to a survey conducted by us in 2021, it was found that the pressure and fear of mathematics among Class 10th students grows significantly during the board exams. The study also highlighted that several students in classes 9th and 10th lack self-belief in their mathematical abilities and how their confidence levels undergo a significant drop during the board exams. This struggle that many children face with respect to maths learning, inspired us to introduce ‘MathFit.’ As students prepare for their first ever maths board exam, I hope that this handbook reaches and helps as many students as possible. I wish the best of luck to all of them.”

The handbook will be populated through Cuemath’s social media handles, and distributed among the parents’ and teachers’ communities for greater accessibility. Parents and students can also view and download the handbook from the company website
