Retail Association of India at the recently concluded Retail Leadership Summit 2023 in Mumbai conferred the title of the Retail Startup of the year to decor startup The Yellow Dwelling. The Bangalore-based brand now has presence in Gurgaon, Pune and Hyderabad, and will soon be opening stores in Delhi and Chennai.
With a vision to become a national brand, this contemporary home furnishing outlet which specialises in products made using the finest of natural fibres produced in India, in the last 4 years has entered Gurgaon, Pune, Hyderabad besides launching their second store in Bangalore. From the awards from the numerous applications received, 8 candidates were chosen to present their business to the esteemed jury consisting of Mr. Radhakrishnan K R of Tata Starquik and Mr. Suhail Sattar, Director Hasbro Clothing.
The Yellow Dwelling finally bagged the title for Retail Startup Award, 2023, which was presented to Abhinayah and Nandakumar, co-founders of brand The Yellow Dwelling, by Mr. Bijoy Kurien (Chairman, RAI & Independent director of various FMCG businesses), Mr. Suhail Sattar, and Mr. Radhakrishnan K R.
From a Facebook page in 2017 to a website and opening of a small warehouse in 2018, this is truly an inspiring journey of a home-grown brand that went on to open 5 retail stores across India and operate a 3500 sq. ft centralized warehouse that handles all the inventory management, semi-production and order processing.
