Prof. Dr Lin Zhe

Prof. Dr. Zhe Lin is a scientist, inventor and serial entrepreneur specializing in biochip technologies, mechanobiology and AI-enabled medical diagnostics. He holds a Ph.D. in Medical Science and Technology from ETH Zurich, where he trained in a leading European mechanobiology laboratory, and a First-Class Honours degree in Bio-Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His academic and translational work sits at the intersection of biology, engineering, artificial intelligence and precision medicine.

As a co-founder and scientific leader of multiple deep-tech ventures, Prof. Lin has focused on converting advanced scientific discoveries into practical healthcare technologies. He is the CEO and Co-founder of Cell4D, developing mechanomics-based single-cell screening and sorting technology designed to enable label-free, real-time and high-throughput applications in cell therapy, drug discovery and precision medicine. He is also a Co-founder and Scientific Advisor to CVDetect, which combines proprietary biomarkers with AI-powered digital solutions for the real-time early detection of thrombosis and other time-critical diseases.

His technology portfolio spans single-cell screening, drug-resistant tumour-cell identification, precision oncology, antibody-drug screening, thrombosis detection and AI-enabled diagnostics. His work has also contributed to international collaborative research programmes involving institutions such as ETH Zurich, the Max Planck Institute and European research groups, including nanobiochip development for cardiac-tissue repair.

Prof. Lin’s work has received recognition from leading global accelerator and innovation programmes, including Merck Accelerator, Johnson & Johnson JLABS, MiraclePlus, MedTech Innovator APAC, Singapore Slingshot, Hong Kong JumpStarter and international innovation competitions. His portfolio also includes multiple inventions and patent applications covering cell identification, cellular traction-force measurement, biomarkers for thrombosis and infection, tissue engineering and medical applications.

Prof. Dr Iype Cherian

Dr. Iype Cherian, MCh (Neurosurgery), is an internationally recognised Indian neurosurgeon, microsurgical anatomist, inventor and educator. Born in Alappuzha, Kerala, in 1975, he completed his MBBS and MCh in Neurosurgery at Christian Medical College, Vellore, followed by a fellowship in skull base and vascular neurosurgery at Fujita Health University, Nagoya, Japan. The Japanese microsurgical philosophy he absorbed there, with its emphasis on meticulous anatomical dissection, minimal brain retraction and extensive laboratory practice, remains central to his approach.

He is Director of Neurosciences at Parul Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Vadodara, and Director of the Institute of Neurosciences at KIMS, Karad. He previously directed the Nobel Institute of Neurosciences in Biratnagar, Nepal. He is also General Counsellor of the Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons (ACNS), Chairperson of the WFNS Innovation & Technology Committee, and a member of the editorial board of Interdisciplinary Neurosurgery.

He is best known for cisternostomy, a microsurgical technique introduced in 2013 for severe traumatic brain injury. It involves opening the basal cisterns to restore cerebrospinal fluid circulation and reduce brain swelling, and is proposed as an alternative to decompressive hemicraniectomy. It is linked to his CSF-Shift Edema Theory and his Brain Cooling and Cleaning Theory, which describe the role of CSF in brain swelling, heat dissipation and waste clearance. His skull-base work includes refinements of the transcavernous, modified Kawase and petroclival approaches, along with newer corridors such as the Mosaic Approach (a multiportal orbital-suprabrow route) and the ExPaJUF approach to the jugular foramen. He has authored more than 50 publications, including a textbook on cisternostomy. His technology portfolio spans ultramicroneurosurgery, exoscope-based surgery and AI-enhanced visualisation, including the Sanma Yoko robotic exoscope, co-developed with Aesculap, and the “Hypervision” concept of AI within the surgical field.

He has also proposed Medharanya, an integrated perioperative system, and NETRA, an AI-augmented neurosurgical ICU architecture. His devices and instruments include the Santvana Retractor, the Water Knife, a portable endovascular robot and an autostop sensor drill. As founder of Neurosurgery Coach, he runs a global training platform of fellowships, cadaveric workshops and online teaching. It aims to make advanced microsurgical skills available beyond major academic centres. His honours include the Huashan International Honor Award (2022).

Beyond the operating room, he writes and speaks on consciousness, time and human performance. These interests include The Time Machine Inside You and the longevity philosophy The Flight at Fifty, which gave rise to the Iypeathletiq brand. His guiding vision is an operating room where technology enhances, rather than replaces, the surgeon’s judgement.

“I am delighted to announce the appointment of senior world-class advisors to the Group. These are distinguished leaders with outstanding records in their fields, and we are honoured to have them join us.

Their experience, insight and global perspective will strengthen our direction as we continue to build solutions that integrate diagnostics, preventive care and wellness. With their guidance and your continued commitment, we will bring more world-class, distinctive products into the Group.” Ravindran Govindan, Executive Chairman and Managing Director.
