G20 dignitaries visited KIMSHEALTH Trivandrum, as part of the G20 health group meet in the capital

Thiruvananthapuram : Dignitaries of the first health working group meeting under India’s G20 presidency including representatives of G20 members, special invitee countries and leading international organizations visited KIMSHEALTH, Thiruvananthapuram. KIMSHEALTH is the health partner of the G20 Health Working Group meeting going on at Kovalam. As part of the ‘Medical Value Travel’ field trip, the delegates also participated in a presentation on Kerala’s healthcare infrastructure and the world class health care facilities offered by KIMSHEALTH.

During the official facility visit,  the dignitaries were briefed  about all the departments  and the unique healthcare services that the hospital adds to Kerala’s healthcare infrastructure. They visited various departments, including the state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit, International Patient Relations, Visa medicals, Executive Wellness, East 3rd Level OP, Interventional Pulmonology, Command Centre, Biplane Cath-Lab and KIMSHEALTH Cancer center. The authorities answered the doubts of the delegates about the systems and their functioning in the hospital.

Lav Agarwal IAS, Additional Secretary – Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Manashvi Kumar IAS, Joint Secretary – Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and Vishal Chauhan IAS, Joint Secretary – Ministry of Health and Family Welfare were also part of the group.  After the visit, the Ministry reiterated G20’s attempt to make the healthcare system even more efficient and less expensive and commended KIMSHEALTH’s initiatives for fulfilling the same. We are very happy to host the delegates of the G 20 Countries and showcase the facilities of KIMSHEALTH as well as present an overview of the health infrastructure of the country, said Dr M I Sahadulla, Chairman and Managing Director, KIMSHEALTH.

Tracking health emergencies, preparedness and response, strengthening cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector, and digital health innovation and solutions are the three priorities under health for India in the G20 presidency. Health emergencies prevention and preparedness and response with a focus on One health and antibiotic resistance is top on the agenda. India will aim to play a major role in converging discussions in multiple forums for global health architecture and act as an enabler to reduce fragmentation and duplication.
