Not all heroes wear capes and the selfless valor of those like Mirabai Chanu Saikhom, Chef Vikas Khanna, Upasana Kamineni Konidela and others had a healing touch on mankind during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic
When it comes to the realities of life, real heroes seldom wear capes, but rather, take on different roles with dedicated valor. Bringing together the heroic figures who shape culture and the world around us, GQ India in association with the Title Partner Glenfiddich Artists in Residence celebrates these changemakers from diverse fields—from sports to business, politicsm, art and more with GQ Heroes. These extraordinary personalities have not only exhibited excellence in their personal achievements, but have also brought much-needed inspiration and cheer in a difficult year. Each has demonstrated empathy, smarts, and courage, driving positive change to create a brighter future. GQ India pays a rightful homage to them.
Owing to the pandemic, this year’s GQ Heroes event is a virtual edition, which will be graced by iconic stalwarts from various fields. The event is extended into a panel discussion which is set to go live on December 23, 2021 across GQ India’s digital platforms. The panelists are Chef Vikas Khanna, Entrepreneur Upasana Kamineni Konidela, and Glenfiddich, Artist in Residence’s brand ambassador Angad Singh Gandhi, moderated by Aaliya Amrin. The panel strives to hold discussions around the milestones, achievements, and extraordinary experiences of the year gone by.
We also talk about Glenfiddich’s brand campaign – Where Next? Which resonates with the message of reaching the top is just the beginning. Glenfiddich believes in defying norms and inspires you to get out of your comfort zone. Encourages you to embrace uncertainty and get on to the next challenge by asking yourselves Where Next? The campaign realizes the brand philosophy to constantly push boundaries and write your own rulebook. It is only when you take risks, stare fear in the eye, is it possible to evolve and break new ground.
