Campus Connect initiative aims to foster future-ready talent
Chennai — HCLTech, a leading global technology company, successfully conducted its flagship Campus Connect initiative, HCLTech Talks at Velammal Engineering College, Chennai. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who engaged in insightful discussions on the future of technology and innovation. This initiative reflects HCLTech’s ongoing commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within academic institutions.
Launched in January 2025, HCLTech Talks is a monthly virtual platform designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and corporate application. In response to growing interest, the initiative expanded in March 2025 to include a hybrid format, enabling in-person sessions at engineering colleges across India. This evolution has facilitated deeper engagement and real-time dialogue between students and industry experts.
The session at Velammal Engineering College was led by Kamalakannan Prabhakaran, Delivery Unit Head at HCLTech, who spoke on the theme ‘From Campus to Cloud: Building Scalable Tech Solutions.’ His presentation offered students a comprehensive view of the transformative impact of cloud technologies across industries. He emphasized the importance of building scalable solutions and encouraged aspiring engineers to develop the skills and mindset needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving tech landscape.
