KAI India launches Japan-India Institute of Manufacturing Training School at Neemrana

  • KAI-JIM The Training School will produce highly qualified workers and train shop floor leaders to Japanese standards
  • Besides exceptional Japanese craftsmanship training, the trainees will also get training on their soft skills development.
  • After the completion of the program, they will receive a qualification certificate at the same time they will also complete their apprentice training which will make them eligible for various Government jobs.

Neemrana : KAI INDIA has opened a Training Centre namely KAI JIM (Kai Japan-India Institute of Manufacturing) in our Neemrana Plant which is sponsored and approved by METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) Govt of Japan, for skill development in both technical and Japanese-style manufacturing related soft-skills. This facility would be extended for human resources that are currently studying & aspiring to join the manufacturing sector.  This training centre will produce highly qualified workers and train shop floor leaders in accordance with Japanese standards.

“Through this programme, we intend to empower society. Businesses can and should have a beneficial impact on the communities they serve. The commitment is to acquire the customers’ trust and respect by doing things that benefit society and each other. This new institute will undoubtedly help individuals with new talents,” says Mr. Rajesh U.Pandya, Managing Director, KAI India.

The trainees selected for the JIM programme will be trained by experienced shop floor instructors. They will be taught about job-related technical skills and an awareness of Japan’s renowned productivity development approaches. They will also have the opportunity to strengthen their soft skills, such as discipline, work culture, and so on. Industry specialists will also educate them on health and safety, problem-solving procedures, and Japanese vocabulary and concepts utilised in production.

“We want to teach people about Japan’s best practises. This will assist them in their jobs and they will get hands-on training based on those principles that are revered worldwide,” says,” H.E. Mr. Satoshi Suzuki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Embassy of Japan in India.

The trainees will receive a qualification certificate after the completion of the program. All of them will be eligible for government jobs after finishing their apprentice training.

The trainees for the first batch have been selected through campus interviews which were held in nearby Industrial Training Institute.  The final candidates were selected after screening their academics and a face-to-face interview.
