Bengaluru : Brigade REAP mentored Bengaluru based start-up, LiteStore has launched India’s first Flexi-Retail store in Orion Mall at Brigade Gateway, Bengaluru. For the launch, LiteStore is partnering with WOW Skin Science to bring the incredible range of WOW products to life in a Flexi Store. LiteStore offers premium retail spaces which can be rented out on an ultra-short-term basis. Stores are fully modular in terms of design and fixtures, cutting down the set-up time for a store to a fraction of the usual duration. LiteStore offers a simple way to go offline instantly, without any of the usual hassles of locating a store, negotiating with a landlord; and taking care of interior design and fit out. Brands can now have a physical store with their own identity and ethos up and running in a matter of days. In addition to the space itself, LiteStore provides staffing, Point of Sale systems and in-store analytics as value added services.
“A LiteStore by its very design, is meant to look different from other stores. The aesthetic is essentially minimal, and the identity is fluid. With digital signage, each store is fully dynamic and can seamlessly assume a new look. Short term bookings allow brands to spend their energy on crafting exciting experiences for their customers to help them connect with the brand and customers will have the excitement of seeing new stores and new products each month. Being a Brigade REAP incubated company, we received the best mentorship and managed to move forward very quickly. We were fortunate to gain access to Orion Mall through REAP and to interact with the leadership at Brigade Group. Their forward-looking approach, and willingness to try out something entirely new and unproven, is the only reason LiteStore is present in such a premium and popular mall. Our partnership with Orion Mall will help us bring a whole new kind of offline retail to the lakhs of customers who walk into the mall, leaving them with an experience that is completely fresh and personalized.” said Tarun S., Co-Founder and CEO, LiteStore.
“Since inception, Brigade REAP has adhered to a stringent process of selection of start-ups in each of its cohorts. Start-ups would have to mandatorily convince an eminent panel of experts that they have the technology, uniqueness and potential to scale. Thus, only the best makes the cut, to be mentored and handheld by Brigade REAP. LiteStore is a perfect example of a startup that has ticked all the right boxes. Through their unique innovation LiteStore has shown how prime retail spaces can be democratized by brands who would otherwise be present only online” said John Kuruvilla, Chief Mentor, Brigade REAP.
“We are extremely proud to associate with LiteStore and partner with them in their unique innovation. At Orion Malls, our focus has always been on giving our customers the best shopping experience, both in terms of ambience and in terms of the brands that they have access to. Brands of all shapes and sizes, whether they are purely digital, big or small, have a physical product or not, can make use of Flexi Stores to run marketing campaigns, launch products and meet customers. These stores also allow for collaboration between complementary brands. For example, with LiteStore, customers can try on the latest headphones while sampling music from a new streaming platform on the block. They can double up as experience centres rather than simple stores, with the storefront becoming a destination rather than a simple touchpoint for shopping” said Sunil Munshi, AVP Operations, Orion Malls by Brigade.
LiteStore offers both fixed fee and revenue share based pricing models, depending on whether a brand is looking to carry out marketing activity exclusively or is looking to sell products using the store. Currently, bookings can be made through the website or by reaching out to firstname.lastname@example.org. LiteStore is in the process of upgrading to a brand dashboard on their website through which bookings can be done.
