Hyderabad: Mahant Raghu Muni, the President of Udasin Mutt, performed a Bhoomi puja for Udasin Mutt Spiritual and Educational centre, of international standards at its premises at the Kukatpally ‘Y’ Junction, today. Udasin Mutt is a revered spiritual ashram with lakhs of followers from across India and abroad. Mahant Arunadas, Vice President, Udasin Mutt; graced the occasion along with devotees from across the globe.

Speaking on the occasion Mahant Raghu Muni said, this is a tapas sthal for us at Udasin Mutt, Shri Baba Sajjan Shah Kamalapatiji had done vigorous penance at this Ashram. We did a Bhoomi pooja and holy havan here for the last three days to seek the divine blessings of the almighty to usher in peace and harmony in the world and for people to live with prosperity and good health. We will establishing a Vedic University for the youth to gain knowledge of our sacred texts, along with the modern education. Cow protection is an essential tenet of our religion and Goshala will be set up here. Saints and holy men visiting Hyderabad, will have a Sant Nivas in the Ashram. Anna daan seva will be done and orphans will be provided shelter here.

MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao speaking on the occasion said, the Udasin Mutt is rendering yeoman service and will be establishing several facilities of public utility here in Hyderabad including Vedapatashala, Goshala, hospital, orphanage among other facilities. We will extend complete support for the services the Mutt will render.

The new Centre being developed will have several facilities of public utility, including Santnivas, Vedapatashala, Yagashala, Goshala in the initial phase, followed by an educational institution, hospital, vocational courses centre etc., in a phased manner. This Centre will play a prominent role in promulgating and propagating the religious, philosophical and spiritual tenets of udasism and udasi sect in South India. It will have accommodation for the saints and Mahants who visit the Ashram at Hyderabad. We will establish institutions of learning that will impart spiritual and religious education and teach Sanskrit. The Centre will lay thrust on study of Hindu religion, philosophy sastras and Hindu Temple Architecture. A modern Hospitals will render services to the poor, irrespective of caste and creed. It will have a home for the poor, destitute, helpless, and physically challenged persons and orphanage for children.

Udasin Mutt, won back its land admeasuring around 540.30 acres at ‘Y’ Junction in Kukatpally, recently after a protracted legal battle in the Supreme Court, against GOC Ltd.
