NephroPlus hosts ‘Aashayein 2026’ in Chennai, celebrating hope and resilience among dialysis patients
Chennai : NephroPlus, a leading network of dialysis centres, brought its flagship patient engagement initiative ‘Aashayein 2026’ to life at The Vijay Park, Madhavaram, Chennai, uniting dialysis patients, caregivers, nephrologists and healthcare experts for a powerful day of hope, resilience and community spirit. The event spotlighted inspiring patient success stories, celebrating individuals who have shown extraordinary strength and commitment to their treatment journey, uplifting and motivating the wider patient community.
The event witnessed participation from approximately 200 guests (patients) and 100 caregivers from Chennai and eight surrounding NephroPlus centres. Designed as a patient-centric platform, Aashayein aimed to celebrate the strength of individuals undergoing dialysis while reinforcing the importance of consistent, high-quality care in enabling patients to lead fulfilling lives.
The programme featured insightful sessions by leading experts including Dr. J. Amalorpavanathan, Member, State Planning Commission, Tamil Nadu; Dr. Suresh Sankar, Nephrologist; Dr. Ronak Jain G, Consultant Nephrologist & Transplant Specialist; Dr. T. Dinesh Kumar, Consultant Nephrologist; and Dr. Apeksha Ekbote, Chief Dietitian, NephroPlus. The discussions focused on key aspects such as leading a normal life while on dialysis, awareness on aHUS, the importance of organ donation, and personalised nutrition guidance for dialysis patients.
The patients’ success stories served as a source of inspiration for the wider patient community. To encourage engagement and strengthen a sense of belonging, the event also included interactive Q&A sessions, dialysis-themed quizzes, and recreational games, creating a lively and supportive environment for attendees.
