Pendulo Curates An Unhurried Mother’s Day Evening With Cocktail Sway, Live Sitar And Thoughtful Dining
New Delhi : Motherhood carries its own flavour. Layered, unhurried, and deeply felt. This Mother’s Day, Pendulo brings that feeling to the table with an evening designed to slow things down. Titled An Evening, Curated for Her, the experience is built around presence, warmth and the kind of time we don’t usually make enough space for.
Set in the intimate warmth of Pendulo’s tasting room, the evening brings together a curated dining experience, thoughtful cocktails and the quiet resonance of a live sitar. It is not about doing more, but about doing things with care. Every detail has been considered so that the mothers in the room feel seen and celebrated in a way that feels natural, not performative.
At the centre of the evening is Pendulo’s Cocktail Sway tasting. A four-course experience where the drink leads and the food follows in rhythm. Each course moves between Indian and Mexican flavours, building slowly from bright and expressive to deeper, more comforting notes.
The pairings include Litti Picante with Masa Medu Vadai or Naga Pork Chaat, Pahadi Mezcal Sour with Lamb Barbacoa Dhokla, Gulkand Cacao Old Fashioned with Gunpowder Spiced Mushroom Empanada, and Rasmalai Caliente with Coorgi Asada Octopus. Each one is designed to feel balanced and intuitive, where nothing feels forced and everything sits easily together.
For the woman who shaped the table, we set one in her honour.
“At Pendulo, we’ve always believed that food carries emotion,” says Sahil Baweja. “For Mother’s Day, we wanted to create something that feels easy and meaningful. An evening where people can sit a little longer, talk a little more, and just be present.”
As the evening unfolds, a live sitar performance builds gently in the background, layered with subtle Latin influences that echo the spirit of the menu. It is meant to be felt, not announced. Conversations flow, time stretches, and the experience settles into something that stays with you.
This is not a celebration built on spectacle. It is one built on feeling.
