PHDCCI and PFRDA Boost Retirement Planning for MSMEs with NPS Awareness Programme

New Delhi: The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) and the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) jointly organised an advanced National Pension System (NPS) Awareness Session for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at PHD House, New Delhi. The event aimed to enhance MSME awareness about NPS benefits, including employer registration processes, tax advantage retirement planning, flexible investment options, and seamless integration with existing retirement schemes such as Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) and Superannuation.

Key speakers included Shri Sudhir Singh, Deputy General Manager, PFRDA, who provided foundational insights into the significance of NPS for MSMEs, focusing on its benefits and implementation. Shri Abhishek Dhiman, Assistant Manager, PFRDA, expanded on the system’s key features, while Shri Aishwarya Mudgal, Regional Head, HDFC Pension Fund, highlighted the NPS onboarding process and its practical application for businesses.

The workshop featured an interactive Q&A session, offering MSME representatives the opportunity to address their concerns regarding NPS adoption and retirement planning. Ms. Babeeta Sharma, Director, PHDCCI, welcomed attendees and closed the event with a Vote of Thanks, underscoring the necessity of secure retirement planning and financial preparedness for MSMEs.

The programme attracted robust engagement from MSME stakeholders, fostering discussions with pension sector experts and providing actionable insights into leveraging NPS for long-term benefits. This initiative builds on efforts to strengthen financial resilience among India’s small and medium enterprises.
