Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series Jaipur Literature Festival 2024 Collaborates with ReNew to Drive Sustainability

ReNew Energy Global plc (“ReNew” or “the Company”) (Nasdaq: RNW, RNWWW), India’s leading decarbonisation solutions company, has partnered with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series Jaipur Literature Festival 2024 to power the event with renewable energy. The two organisations have agreed to partner for the 2024 Festival and will also explore collaboration opportunities for subsequent editions over the coming decade, marking a significant leap towards hosting environmentally responsible and sustainable cultural events. 

The Festival, now in its 17th year, has become a literary phenomenon, welcoming over a million book lovers from across India and the globe. This year’s edition will take place from 1st to 5th February in Jaipur at Hotel Clarks Amer. The programme features renowned speakers including: Booker awardees Paul Lynch & Damon Galgut; Mary Beard, one of the world’s best-known classicists; Bonnie Garmus, author of New York Times bestselling novel ‘Lessons in Chemistry’ and many others.

Through the partnership, ReNew will ensure that the 2024 event is fully powered by renewable energy marking a significant stride in its quest to move beyond greening institutions and work with marquee events like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series Jaipur Literature Festival 2024 to create a direct social impact on youth and civil society members. This deeply ties in with the company’s mission of creating a carbon-free world and further the dialogue on being energy-conscious. ReNew is already responsible for 1.9% of India’s total installed power capacity, producing enough clean energy to power 5 million households annually.

ReNew will also be offering its expertise to the Festival organisers to identify opportunities to make the event more sustainable and establish an actionable greening framework for subsequent editions of the event. It will focus on helping the Festival to reduce its dependence on plastics, source sustainably and reduce its carbon footprint.

The aim is to make the Festival progressively greener over the next few years, ultimately achieving carbon and plastic neutrality, by leveraging ReNew’s deep understanding of the clean energy sector.
