Savings Bank of Danbury Supports Leadership Danbury Class of 2022 Project

DANBURY, CT – The Savings Bank of Danbury is supporting the Danbury Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Class of 2022 Project.

The Leadership Danbury Class chose to partner with the Community Food Rescue run by the Community Action Agency that benefits many area food pantries including ARC, Bethel Community Food Pantry, Camella’s Cupboard, Community Action Agency, Daily Bread, Dorothy Day, Interfaith Aids, Jericho Partnership, Purple Heart, Victory Christian Food Pantry and Walnut Hill Community Pantry.

Michelle McCourt, Senior Vice President of Operations at Savings Bank of Danbury is a member of the Leadership Danbury Class of 2022.  The branches collected nonperishable food and toiletries. In addition, the Bank donated $1,000 to the Community Action Agency.

Leadership Danbury prepares leaders for positions of responsibility by acquainting them with community processes and pressing issues. Participants engage in discussions with established leaders, go behind the scenes at the region’s key institutions, build leadership skills, create a lasting network of contacts, and give back to the community with a meaningful group project.

“We congratulate the Leadership Danbury Class of 2022 for their contributions to the region and the completion of this successful community project,” said Martin G. Morgado, President and CEO of Savings Bank of Danbury. “We are proud of Michelle’s commitment to the program and have had seen the great value the program brings to all our valued staff members that have participated in the program.”
