Senator Walter Timilty Presents Citation to the Peabody Companies in Honor of 45th Anniversary

In honor of the Peabody Companies’ 45th anniversary, Senator Walter F. Timilty recently presented an official Massachusetts Senate Citation to Peabody Companies Principals Karen Fish-Will and Melissa Fish-Crane.

Senator Timilty, whose district includes Braintree precincts 1, 1A, 2, and 2A, delivered the citation in-person at the Braintree headquarters of the Peabody Companies earlier this month.

Highlights of 2021 for the Peabody Companies included coordinating more than 165 vaccine clinics, which led to the vaccination of more than 3,800 residents, staff, and community members; facilitating nearly $2.5 million in rental assistance to ensure successful residencies; advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts; and reaching a milestone of $27 million in funding for its affordable housing portfolio through the Massachusetts LEAN Multifamily Program, which is tailored to deliver complete, cost-effective gas and electric efficiency measures for affordable housing across Massachusetts.

In his remarks, Senator Timilty expressed his appreciation of the organization’s longevity and stability in the city of Braintree, and congratulated Fish-Will and Fish-Crane for positively building on the family legacy of the business.

“It’s my pleasure to come here today and present you with a citation that congratulates your organization’s efforts over the last 45 years and to thank you for being a neighbor that we all can be proud of,” said Senator Timilty.

“We’re so grateful to the Senator for taking time out of his day to come and present us with this honor,” said Fish-Will.  “We look forward to continuing to build on what we’ve established over the last 45 years well into the future.”
