UAE: Sharjah Warriors claimed victory in an exciting match against Desert Vipers by 7 runs at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. After winning the toss, Desert Vipers chose to field first, wherein Wanindu Hasaranga and Luke Wood took three wickets each. However, Sharjah Warriors’ Tom Kohler-Cadmore showcased a phenomenal batting display, scoring 68 runs off 34 balls at a strike rate of 200. Martin Guptill, who played an anchor role in the innings scoring 39 runs off 32 balls, duly assisted him. At the end of first innings, Sharjah Warriors posted 174/7 at the end of 20 overs.

Despite the setback, Alex Hales showcased resilience with an impressive innings of 61 runs at a striking rate of 152, while Azam Khan’s quickfire 35 runs off 22 balls added vitality to Desert Vipers’ fight in the contest. However, the disciplined bowling attack of Sharjah Warriors, spearheaded by Chris Woakes and Daniel Sams, ultimately tipped the scales in their favour, securing a victory for the Warriors.
