TDI International School preaches the Importance of Yoga on International Yoga Day

In the bid to put the precept of Bhagavad Gita ideology (Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self” into practice, TDI International School organised a virtual session on Yoga on 21st June from 7:30 am onwards on the occasion of International Yoga Day. The Yoga session was to preach its importance in living a healthy and balanced life to the children.

“In the world of cut-throat competition and the battle to constantly succeed, somewhere, the inner peace and well-being of an individual always get compromised or hurt. We organised a virtual Yoga session so that students from an early age get to know about the benefits associated with Yoga and adopt them in their daily routines to build a resilient, well-functioning mind-powered ecosystem.’ Harender Kumar Sharma, Principal, TDI International School said.

Over 150 students attended the TDI’s virtual session and nailed the yoga poses with their supreme agility and flexibility. Yoga instructor conducted the session making it very informatively engaging.

The session started with the sonorous ‘Gayatri Mantra’ followed by Surya Namaskar, a speech on the significance of Yoga, yoga and meditation session and ended with a vote of thanks by the Vice-Principal.

Commenting on the significance of Yoga, Harender Kumar Sharma, Principal TDI International School said, “India’s cultural heritage has various intellectual and spiritual milestones, one of them happens to be Yoga. It should not only be seen as a fitness regime but also as a spiritually-embedded tool to achieve inner peace and worldly detachment. It is the source of profundity and vice renunciation that needs to be adopted by students to live a balanced and successful life.”
