The Heritage College Kolkata organizes its induction and orientation programme Connexions 2023

On 9th August 2023, The Heritage College, Kolkata organized its induction and orientation program – Connexions 2023 which was graced by Rev. Fr. Dr Dominic Savio S.J., Principal, St. Xaviers’ College, Kolkata as the Chief Guest followed by Mr. Harish Agarwal, Managing Partner, Ernst & Young and Swami Vedatitanandaji Maharaj, Ramakrishna Mission Shilpamandira, Belur Math as the Guests of Honour.

During the inaugural address, Rev. Fr. Dr. Dominic Savio S.J., Principal, St. Xaviers’ College spoke about the new education policy which has broadened the landscape of higher education in India. “Now the students will be getting more choices, opportunities and flexibility to pursue higher education,” said Rev. Fr. Dr. Dominic Savio, S.J. He also spoke about character building which is also one of the foremost objectives of higher education.  Mr. Harish Agarwal spoke about Punctuality, Professionalism and Creativity as one of the top skills the students should possess in order to succeed in the corporate life. He also emphasized on learning new technologies, adapting to the change  and working under pressure which are also important for today’s graduates.

Swami Vedatitanandaji Maharaj from Ramakrishna Mission Shilpamandira, Belur Math spoke about the need for the students after the formal education to give back to the society.

The session was also addressed by Prof. Amitava Ghose, Teacher-in-Charge, The Heritage College, Prof. Basab Chaudhuri, Senior Director, Education, Heritage Group of Institutions, and Shri Pradip Agarwal, CEO, Heritage Group of Institutions, Kolkata.
