Hyderabad: The Purple Turtles, a renowned concept lighting and furniture store opened its doors to Hyderabad today after a weekend of celebrations with the city’s design connoisseurs, well-wishers and architectural community dropping in to congratulate and take a sneak peek at the stunningly beautiful designs. Nestled in the heart of the city, the store is an oasis of calm as you step in from the bustling city into the world of beautiful aesthetic design.
Founded by Radeesh Rattnakar Shetty & Gaurav Rai in December 2009, The Purple Turtles has come to be the only store that throws the spotlight on a whole range of Indian designers and their versatile repertoire. Each piece has been carefully handpicked from some of the country’s most renowned designers. The store also has prolific in-house designers, who create limited-edition innovative lights and furniture for its clientele. The team also brings with it, Beruru – a loved brand that today is a definitive root-to-roof garden lifestyle brand that reimagines the garden as the heart of the home, inspiring slow, joyful urban living. The brand offers customers everything they need to grow a patch of green, whether it’s in a balcony or a sprawling yard. The Beruru team has travelled the world to bring home an eclectic range of plants, planters, garden accessories, decor and furniture for outdoor, indoor and al fresco spaces.
Each piece is individually crafted; draws inspiration from diverse and unusual sources; and is finished in materials as varied as their design. From earthy elements like handcrafted paper, banana fiber, wood, and jute; to blown glass, beads, shells and stylized fabrics; and metals that include brass, copper and stainless steel. The Purple Turtles also provides personalized and customized lighting solutions for homes, offices, resorts, restaurants, and theme-based interiors.
