Volvo Group in India celebrates Pride Month, strengthening its commitment to LGBTQIA+ Inclusion

Employees and leaders join hands in a vibrant celebration of diversity at Bagmane Tech Park

Volvo Group in India took another confident step towards building a more inclusive workplace by celebrating this year’s Pride Month at Volvo Group in India through series of meaningful experiences—from awareness sessions, inspiring talks and storytelling circles to the #PrideAtWork campaign. Flag bearing the event was the second Pride March at Volvo Group’s Bengaluru office in Bagmane Tech Park. With rainbow flags held high and energy running strong, the march brought together employees, allies, and members of the leadership team in a unified show of support for the LGBTQIA+ community.

The series of events also included an inspiring talk by Vasudhendra Shroff, noted Kannada author and LGBTQ+ advocate. His reflections on identity and belonging invited employees to pause, listen, and reflect on the value of authenticity in the workplace—deepening the conversation on empathy and inclusion across teams.

All in all, the month reflected the company’s ongoing mission to foster a culture where every individual feels respected, heard, and empowered to be their true selves. Since the launch of its Pride movement in 2023, Volvo Group India has steadily amplified its inclusion efforts, weaving diversity into the fabric of its culture and daily practices.  This not only symbolizes continuity but underscores the growing sense of shared ownership employees feel toward allyship and inclusion.

Reflecting on Volvo Group India’s journey toward inclusion, Kamal Bali, President & Managing Director, Volvo Group India, said:

“Volvo Group India is committed to creating a workplace that’s not only diverse by design but also inclusive by choice. Celebrating Pride Month is one of many steps we’re taking to ensure that everyone—regardless of identity—feels welcome, seen, and celebrated. As we move forward, we remain steadfast in driving meaningful inclusion, inside our organization and beyond.”
