Korum Mall Comes Alive as Nalanda Public School Students Lead Street March and Stage Play for National Science Day
Thane : Korum Mall, in collaboration with Nalanda Public School, successfully celebrated National Science Day with an impactful awareness initiative aligned with the 2026 theme of Resource Conservation. The programme focused on saving water and energy, protecting trees, and promoting responsible consumption, drawing enthusiastic participation and attendance from around 170 students of Grade 6 and 7.
The event commenced with a spirited street march within the streets of Thane, where students raised awareness about conserving natural resources. This was followed by a thoughtfully presented stage play at Korum Mall that creatively highlighted the importance of sustainable living and the role each individual play in protecting the environment. Parents, shoppers, invited guests and citizens of Thane witnessed the performances, making it a truly community-driven initiative.
“We are delighted to have provided a platform for young minds to champion resource conservation and inspire collective responsibility towards the environment,” said Mr. Deva Jyotula, Senior Vice President of Retail, Korum Mall.
Expressing gratitude, Mrs. Nandita Khanna, Director of Education, Nalanda Public School said, “We hope this event inspires and encourages. More power to the children who, at such a young age, are aware that their voices matter and can influence change for the better. While we as adults are learning these lessons now, children are embracing them early and leading the way toward a better world.”
The initiative was well received and reinforced the importance of sustainability, encouraging the community to adopt practical steps towards a greener future. Through such meaningful engagements, Korum Mall continues to support awareness-driven initiatives that contribute positively to the larger community and promote long-term environmental responsibility.
