Makhane ki kheer

Ingredients   

  • Makhana – 200gm
  • Pistachios – 50gm
  • Sugar – 70 gm
  • Cardimom powder – 1 pinch
  • Saffron – few strands
  • Rose petals – for garnish

Method   

  • In kadhai roast makhana till the time become crisp
  • In a vessel add milk and sugar and allow to simmer till become thick. Add makhana. Simmer for some time.
  • Add saffron and cardamom powder for flavoring and add soaked and peeled pistachios. Allow cooling for some time in the refrigerator
  • Garnish with rose petals and pistachios.
