Talk on Passion, Determination, and Consistency by experts for the New Batch at Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata

On 25th August 2023, Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata, organized the Induction and Orientation Programme for the New Batch of M.Tech and B.Tech students which was addressed by Swami Sarvottamanandaji Maharaj, Vice Chancellor, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Belurmath, Professor Souvik Bhattacharyya, Former Vice Chancellor, BITS, Pilani and now Senior Vice President, TCG Crest and Mr. Ashish Anupam, Managing Director, Tata Steel Long Products Ltd.

The event also witnessed the presence of Mr. P. R. Agarwala, Chairman, Heritage Institute of Technology, Prof. Basab Chaudhuri, Principal, Heritage Institute of technology, Mr. Probir Roy, Director, Kalyan Bharti Trust, Mr. Pradip Agarwal, CEO, Heritage Group of Institutions and Prof. Sujit Kumar Barua, Registrar, Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata.

During the inaugural address, Mr. P.R.Agarwala welcomed the new students and advised them to utilize these four years in the Institute wisely so that they get prepared for the future challenges. He also gave the examples of the successful alumni members of the Institute who are working in various organizations across the globe and some are in research and development at world class universities like Stanford, Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge and many more.

Swami Sarvottamanandaji Maharaj spoke about the purpose of education which is man-making and character building according to the philosophy of Swami Vivekananda that had ignited the minds of the students and showered the blessings on them.

Mr. Ashish Anupam spoke about some of the thoughts which can make the students successful like passion, consistency, perfection and many more  that can prepare them for the future challenges.

Professor Souvik Bhattacharyya stressed on the ways the students should prepare themselves for the future challenges.

On the same day Confluence, the New Parents Orientation programme was also organized which was addressed by Swami Vedatitanandaji Maharaj from Ramakrishna Mission Shilpamandira, Belurmath.

Around 900 students and more than 700 parents attended today’s event Compass and Confluence that marked the onset of a new era of technical education adhering to the National Education Policy 2020.
