Telangana emerges as a strategic market for the realme TechLife brand – DIZO; Drives high business contribution for the brand

Hyderabad : DIZO, the first brand in the realme Techlife Ecosystem, today announced that the Deccan region has emerged as the highest revenue driver for DIZO India, having contributed 33 percent sales. Telangana along with Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka are now the top four priority markets for DIZO in the region. In addition to the top metros and tier-1 cities, DIZO is witnessing an equally overwhelming response from the Tier-3 and 4 cities in the country.

Telangana now also ranks among the top seven contributing states for DIZO in India. This growth has  been propelled by the sale of DIZO’s top selling products such as DIZO Watch 2, DIZO Buds Z, DIZO GoPods D, DIZO Wireless, and recently announced products – DIZO Watch R and DIZO Buds Z Pro.

Commenting on this achievement, Abhilash Panda, CEO, DIZO India, said, “Telangana is one of India’s youngest states and DIZO is a brand aimed at young India, so it is a perfect fit. It is overwhelming to see that almost 335K consumers of our over 1 million consumer base are from South India, and from these four states. Interestingly, DIZO is seeing close to 50 percent demand coming from tier 3 & 4 cities. This is a very clear indication that India’s digital revolution is driving consumer demand even in small town India. DIZO, was launched on May 25, 2021, and within a short span of eight months, the company launched more than 15 products including TWS earbuds, neckband and wired earphones under smart entertainment; smartwatches, hairdryer and beard trimmer under smart care and features phones, a couple of accessories – multi-port mobile charging adapters and 2-in-1 USB cables, every product having its own uniqueness and very competitive price points. Its products in the TWS earbuds, smartwatch, neckband and feature phones categories flew off the shelves and by Oct 2021 the brand was lapped up by more than a million customers in India alone, with over 100cr of revenue. 

DIZO’s efforts to create a niche for itself has been lauded by one of India’s premier research agencies – Counterpoint Technology Market Research – who in its India TWS Shipments Report for Q3 2021 recognised DIZO as an emerging and fastest growing brand in India. DIZO also received a special mention in Counterpoint Technology’s Smartwatch Market Report for the same quarter, and was called out for having had a great start and also that the brand is close to making a mark in the top 10 TWS list. Adding another feather to the cap, as per the latest report by Counterpoint on India smartwatch shipment, DIZO has managed to capture a position in the top 10 brands offering smartwatches and to nobody’s surprise, DIZO Watch 2 drove most of its volume.

Priced at INR 3,999, the DIZO Watch R comes with 1.3-in (3.3 cm) Ultra Sharp AMOLED Display, biggest AMOLED display in the 4K segment. Along with that, the latest smartwatch offers premium metal frame, Always on Display, 150+ watch faces, health and fitness monitoring features with 12 days of battery life. It comes in three trendy colour options – Classic Black, Golden Pink and Silver Grey. While the DIZO Buds Z Pro, priced at INR 2,999, offers ANC upto 25dB, Natural Light Design and extended battery life, in two uber-stylish colours – Orange Black and Ocean Blue.
