World Athletics launches Athletics At Home series to boost family fitness

World Athletics launched on Tuesday Athletics At Home, a new series designed to help people of all ages to keep fit at home during the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The World Athletics will run a series of episodes on its website, where the public can stream it live and follow to remain active and fit.

“The content, which will appear on both the World Athletics website and across its social media channels, is divided into four themes – kids, active, rewind and unwind,” said World Athletics in a statement on Tuesday.

Athletics At Home will have features including exercises, quizzes, online tutorials and interviews with some of the sport’s biggest stars.

Fans can also look forward to rewind watching a nightly feature looking back at sensational athletics action from the past.

“It was launched last week with daily World Athletics on our YouTube channel where World Athletics is reliving a number of sensational finals from last year’s World Athletics Championships in Doha,” said the athletics body.

There are also some unwind features suggestions of athletics-related books to read, films to watch and music playlists from some of the elite athletes.
